Joe & I were invited to go to the Discovery Museum by Heather & Kena. I told Heather this, but I don't think she believed me...This was the best day Joe & I had had since we have been in San Francisco. We've tried the beach and some really cool, nifty parks, but this was so awesome. I've never seen anything like it. I get so nervous to try and go out by myself in case I get swallowed up by the craziness of the city! My release every week is to try and go to play group which is our favorite thing, and sometimes I get nervous with that! Poor Joe, he has such a cautious mom!
Here is Kena and Joe right after she kissed him, I don't know if you can tell but he is nervous and is probably turning away so she doesn't see him blush!
Here is my baby fishing and he was trying to climb into the pond even though it was pretty cold water!
Heather & Kena found a real ladybug that they got to hold. Look at Heather, so cute and pregnant with a baby boy, yay!
Joe pretty much latched onto Heather, smiled for her camera more than for me! The museum had such cool tunnels that the kids liked playing peek a boo in. It was so nice to not have to say no no no! He could do what he wanted at this huge play place.
I think his favorite was the ultimate fort. The pictures don't do it justice. Maybe one day I'll have the builder of this child's fantasy come build it in my backyard. The kids played for 3 hours! Heather and Kena, thanks for taking a chance on us! We really appreciate it and hope to go back soon!

The after party...
Opening some cool presents from Grandma & Grandpa. His first set of golf clubs! YAY! And a bathketball set which he uses every morning and can already slam dunk. Gets that from his dad, and I pretty much just cheer him on!
I have the best parents. I'm pretty much obsessed with them and think they are the greatest. I would love for them to come visit every weekend. Joe is a such a happier baby with them around.
K not such exciting presents, but thanks grandma & grandpa. Done opening the toys, but mom loves the clothes! Chelsea, mom got him a turtle outfit, thanks!
He is wiped out and finally gave in.
He is the most precious thing and I just can't get enough of sleeping babies. They are the cutest.

Party!
Our little family
That shirt was covered in frosting, such a sweetheart.
K I tried to get a big group picture and it was difficult with the football game on :) and the lack of space. So I took a smaller picture and look at these cute kids. Jack, Ryder, Kena, and Joe. Gotta love em!
MaKenzie just being the mellow perfect little angel that she is! After Joe's party, it was so apparent how lucky we are to live in such a fun place and have such awesome friends. We really appreciate all of you coming and think you are the greatest and have the cutest kids. I know it was cold outside and definitely crowded in our apartment, but it was a blast for our Joe. Thanks!

The Partaaayy!
The actual singing Happy Birthday to our big boy!
OK, so I'm not this cute little crafty mom, but I had to post pictures of the treats. The ones on the left are "golf balls on tees" and Joe's favorite! Then we had some baseballs on the right.
Here's for the show stopper, anyone who knows my dad pretty much knows he is the dang cutest thing ever. He has this amazing artistic ability so I asked if he could frost the cakes. Also anyone who knows my dad also knows that he goes into the kitchen to make eggnog on Christmas night and that is IT! He for the first time probably ever frosted these cakes for his BABY JOE! Me & my mom kind of messed up the soccer ball, but my sweet little dad did these all by himself! I know Mare and Dee you are in shock, but not really cuz him and Joe are 2 peas in a pod.
Joe & his girlfriend Sarah. Sarah was trying to teach him to put the money in the piggy bank. Girls are so smart!
Some of our favorite kids having a free for all! We love parties! Thanks Kera for stepping in to help! You are the cutest, I would've forgotten all about pictures and video taping had you not reminded me!

12 reasons why we're crazy about our 12 month old!
12. He is the cutest thing we've ever seen.
11. He looks at you out of the corner of his eye all the time, we can never be upset with him when he pulls out the smirk, flirt, "I know something you don't know", look!
10. He has the best laugh and has been known to out of the blue start laughing at people!
9. He loves his dad so much that whenever mom's cell phone rings, he yells Da! Da! Daaaaaa! in the background, hoping it's his sweet daddy.
8. He is an allstar boy and can roll a ball back and forth to us, kicks a soccer ball with some assistance, loves his golf clubs that grandma and grandpa so generously got for him, and laughs when he actually tosses a ball.
7. He loves the hymn book and tries to sing during sacrament meeting.
6. He is our little doll that adjusts to our schedule, poor thing, but just goes with the flow and we are so grateful for that.
5. He loves playing on our bed and playing hide and seek from mom, with Steve's help.
4. He knows his grandparents, aunts, and uncles, and completely adores them. Joe is a different person around his family. He needs all the attention he can get.
3. Joe completes our family. He is a perfect, sweet little boy that his mama and daddy couldn't live without.
2. He loves his mommy no matter how mean she can be. He forgives her so quickly and just keeps loving her.
1. He is the most wonderful gift from God that we have been entrusted with and we couldn't be happier.
