We are loving our "Child of God!"

This post is very long overdue, but weeks ago we took Joe to our new ward for the first time. We were having trouble finding our ward and finally found it. We decided to take him to the nursery and try leaving him there. Since we were nursery leaders in our other ward we didn't know how well he'd do, and let's face it, Joe and I are never separated! He did great! After 2 hours, I was a little wrestless and was the first parent to pick up, what a nut! Anyways I asked him what he did and he said "song child of God." I said, "oh that's so fun!" I guess he wanted me to repeat it so really loud he looked at me and said, "SONG CHILD OF GOD." And then I realized what he was saying because I really didn't get it the first time. I was so proud of him! Then he told me about the bubbles and trucks and toys. I was so glad he went by himself and has continued to go by himself and likes to go to church to go to nursery.
On a sad sidenote, Steve's Grandpa Guido passed away on January 24th. He was such a sweet man and we were surprised by the sudden news. He was supposed to get a pacemaker just 3 days later. We hurried and got Steve on a plane to Canada to go be with his family. While he was gone for less than 36 hours, poor Joe kept telling people his dad was on a "mission." Since Uncle Mike is on a mission and he had to take a plane to get there, Joe was assuming everyone that takes a plane is going on a mission! Luckily Steve's mission only lasted 2 days! We love you so much buddy!
